Frida Kahlo embraces the fawn and gives him a brave heart while the animal is ready to support the uncertain step of Frida. This 27,5×39,5cm picture I made in 2014, represents COURAGE.
I show you this photo to let you know why I painted my picture.
THE PAIN OF FRIDA
In 1925, when Frida was 18, she unfortunately suffered a dramatic accident that changed her life and pushed her to find consolation in art. At the exit of the school she was with Alejandro (his first love), on a bus that collided violently with a tram of the opposite lane. For Frida, health damage was severe, and as if it were not enough a bus handrail overtook her hips. Frida was alive by miracle and underwent over 32 surgery sessions.
IL CORAGGIO DI FRIDA
Thank you Frida
Your face allowed me to hope.
You, fragile and strong at the same time.
You’re like a fawn, you’ve been able to make big leaps!
