The beautiful social photos have been enchanting me for years. I love finding I show up my loved Canon EOS 1100D with the 50mm f 1.4 lens and next to the lens I bought these days: EF-S 18-135mm f / 3.5-5.6 with stabilizer. For so many years I have gone on with only 50 mm and if you want to spend a little and learn, I think is the best solution!
Some friends have already asked me which machine to use and how to modify and publicize the images. Those questions have always taken me by surprise because I do not feel like an expert. I also do not have the time to explain every detail to everybody, so I thought I would write here all I know about the mysterious world of photos.
I introduce you to my Canon EOS 1100D with the 50mm f 1.4 lens and near the lens that I bought these days: EF-S 18-135mm f / 3.5-5.6 with stabilizer (the photo below I made With this goal – everything is in focus). For so many years I have gone on with only 50 mm and if you want to spend a little and learn, I think is the best solution!
To begin my little lesson I take for example the dummy I’m painting Mixed Media and you can now see it in the Jolie Make Up Concept Store in Follonica – via Roma 115.I love giving importance to the subject. I used a 50mm lens to 1.4.
During this time I have been crazy and I also bought the Canon 80D, but in my point of view, for beginners and for those who just want to take photos is perfect my 1100D.
Canon 80D e obiettivo 18-135mm in manuale iso 100 f/4.5 – 1/1000 sec
Now you can see the finished dummy shot back, with Rugo and Tita, but if I used the 50 mm I would have had a second blurry floor. I uploaded the photo on Photoshop and I just cropped, slightly increased the brightness and decreased the vividness. I do not like too much editing because It makes me lose too much time, so I look for the best shots on the screen.
However these days I downloaded the PicTapGo App and I’m fine! A good substitute for Photoshop with lots of filters and solutions to create a unique and fascinating Instagram profile. 😉
In this photo you’ll have a clear proof that my lightweight and versatile 1100D has nothing to envy at 80D when it comes to photos. In my opinion, it’s all a matter of knowing the machine, aiming and knowing how to work well with the light and the subject under consideration. Unfortunately, in my video mode, my old and sweet machine does not go well, because you can not choose diaphragm opening.
Some photos taken for practicality with the lens 18-135mm (Let’s say it does not excite me, but at least I can take a picture of the totality of my studio. What I could not do with the 50mm.
I hope to be useful to you and if you have any questions, write it here below.
