The Birth of Venus rising from the waters with white Chiwawa. This is my interpretation of one of the most admired paintings in the world. I believe that the original meaning is dotted with the religious and cultural emotions of that historical period. Perhaps it was the symbol of renewal, sealed by the purity of a young and beautiful woman, as Simonetta Vespucci.
Serenity is the main meaning of my interpretation. In my painting Venus has a reassuring and sweet eyes while white Chiwawa looks us with joy, in the arms of the dog mistress.
The young Simonetta Vespucci was the protagonist of the men’s imagination in the Renaissance era, due to its immeasurable beauty. He died very young at the age of 23, due to a fulminant disease. Paradoxically he still lives today thanks to the painting by Sandro Botticelli.
Above a sweet moment with my Rugo and Tita pugs when I’m painting my Venus i Mixed Media technique. You can notice the various material applications that precede the final drawing with the oil colors.
